When does ortho tri cyclen lo start clearing up your skin?
I’m taking birth control (ortho tri cyclen lo) and am wondering when effects usually start taking place. I’m only on my 3rd day but am anxious for clearer skin/bigger boobs…haha
any help is greatly appreciated! thanks.

I’ve been on OTL for about 5 years, not for acne though. I’ve been told when switching pills it will take 2 months for the hormone levels to stabilize and the pill to take full effect. I imagine the same applies here, although you may see some noticeable changes within a couple weeks, but not days. I can also tell you most likely you won’t have bigger boobs from a lo dose bc pill. Mine definetly are bigger for a week before my period though when estrogen levels are elevated but then they sadly go back down once I get it.
I was on it for three months. I did get bigger boobs! But, that was the only positive thing I had on it. My acne got worse, unfortunately during the 2nd month. I didn’t have too bad acne to begin with, and the first month pretty much all of it went away, but the second month, I started getting zits like under my skin. I couldn’t pop them, but they were red and big. I got a lot of them under my chin and on my forehead. It wasn’t fun. Turns out, it was too low dose of hormones for me. But, that’s just my experience.
My friend, who was also on it, had no problems with it. Her skin turn flawless and her boobs grew bigger than mine! (And I grew a full cup size!). So, just wait it out. If it clears your acne, that’s great, but if it doesn’t, you will find another one that will! Good luck!
